Learning English
Question:

Is learning the English language haraam (forbidden) or halaal (permissible)?
Answer:

If there is a need ? related to the deen or related to worldly matters ? for learning the English language, or other than it from the non Arabic languages, then there is nothing to prevent learning it.

As for if there is no need, then it is indeed disliked to learn it.

And with Allaah is the tawfeeq. And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
