What to do with a forbidden gift?
Question:

I used to live in a community in which their was free-mixing between the men and women. One of the men gave me a gift as an expression of inappropriate satanic desire, (and the gift) was a valuable bracelet. And all praise is due to Allaah, indeed I have left that community and have recognised the true path and have regret and repented for that which I did. Is this gift my rightful possession and is it permissible to beautify myself with it? Or should I give it in charity? Or what shall I do with it? I am not able to return it to its owner, due to my dislike of that community.
Answer:

Praise Allaah for this security. And it is not upon you to return this gift to its owner, rather give it in charity.
