Performing the Jumu'ah prayer in the workplace
|
Question:
Is it permissible to perform the Jumu’ah prayer in a place of work along with the sermon with those that work there?
|
Answer:
If it is difficult for them to go to the Masjid, then they should designate a place that can be used as a Masjid so they could pray there. So if it be the case that it is difficult for them to designate a place to be used as a Masjid on a constant basis – then they can pray in their place of work, and there is no harm in that due to there being a lack of definitive proof that it (Jumu’ah prayers) are not correct except if held in a Jaami’ or in a Masjid.
