Women removing the hair from their chin & legs
|
Question:
Is it permissible for a women to discard her hair that grow on her chin or on her legs?
|
Answer:
As for the permissibility – then it is permissible; but if treatment can be found which can eliminate it in one go then so be it. As for the hair on the legs of the woman then they are not a deformity, and An-Nawawi said: “it is an obligation [to remove them] so that she should not resemble the men, so it is obligatory for her to do so if there is growth on her chin that she removes it, and as for the hair on her legs, then there is no harm in removing them, and it is not like the beard”.
