Answer:
Whoever prays and fasts and comes with the Pillars of Islaam – except that he seeks deliverance from the dead ones and those who are absent and from the angels and the like of that – then he is a mushrik (a person of shirk). So therefore he is advised, and if he does not accept and he persists upon that until he dies then he is a mushrik with shirk akbar (major shirk) which takes him out of the religion of Islaam.
So he is not washed nor is he prayed over with the funeral prayer nor is he buried in the graveyards of the Muslims nor is he supplicated for asking for forgiveness nor do his sons or his parents or his brothers inherit from him - those who are people of Tawheed – nor the like of them from those who are Muslim – due to their differing with him in the religion.
This is according to the statement of the Prophet sal Allahu alaiyhi wa sallam:
The Muslim does not inherit from the disbeliever, nor does the disbeliever from the Muslim.
