Wudhu With Petrol

Question:

Is it permissible to perform the ablution with petrol?

Answer:

That is not permissible; because it is not (classed) as water in the Sharee’ah, and the name ‘water’ does not apply to it. Allaah the One free from all imperfections says:

فَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ مَاء فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا

…and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth…

[Soorah Al-Ma’idah 5:6]

And petrol is not (classed as) water in the absolute sense and it is not inclusive of the word ‘water’.
