Pictures for Necessity
|
Question:
What is the general ruling on pictures, and by general I mean when necessary and when not necessary?
|
Answer:
Making an image with a spirit us unlawful, regardless whether it is done with a camera, a writing instrument, or an instrument used for carving or sculpting. Possessing pictures is also unlawful. If someone, out of necessity, needs to keep a passport photo or identity photo for example, then he can do so, but he must have a sense of hatred in his heart for pictures.
