Prayer Behind The Blind-Followers

Question 159:
Is it Allowed to pray behind the Mut'assibeen (the fanatically bigoted ones) from the people of the Four Madhdhabs?
السؤال 159: هل تجوز الصلاة خلف متعصبين من أصحاب المذاهب الأربعة؟

Answer:
If their Ta'ssub (fanatical bigotry) does not lead them to reject a Quranic Aayah or a Prophetic Hadeeth whilst having knowledge of that, then there is no harm in praying behind them. If it is the case that they reject a Quranic Aayah or a Prophetic Hadeeth based upon Ta'ssub to their Madhdhab whilst they know that then it is not permissible to follow nor to pray behind them. And we advise Ahlus-Sunnah to make yourself distinct and build a masjid for yourself, even if it is from adobes or dried date-palm leaves. For indeed they will not be able to spread the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah - صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم - except with Tamyeez (to make yourself distinct) if not then the Mubtadi'ah (the innovators) will never leave them to spread the Sunnah.
الجواب: إذا لم يؤد تعصبهم إلى رد آية قرآنية أو حديث نبوي وهم يعلمون بذلك فلا بأس بالصلاة بعدهم، أما إذا ردوا آية قرآنية أو حديثا نبويا تعصبا للمذهب وهم يعلمون ذلك فلا يجوز أن يتبعوا ولا أن يصلى خلفهم. وننصح أهل السنة أن يتميزوا وأن يبنوا لهم مساجد ولو من اللبن أو من سعف النخل، فإنهم لن يستطيعوا أن ينشروا سنة رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم- إلا بالتميز وإلا فالمبتدعة لن يتركوهم ينشرون السنة
