Answer:
The Shaykh:
There is no mention [in the texts] of reciting anything from the Qur’aan at the grave of the deceased rather that which is mentioned is that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم) when he would complete the burial of the deceased he would stand over it and say:
“Seek forgiveness for your brother and ask for his steadfastness for indeed he is now being questioned.”
And regarding reciting the Faatihah or reciting Yaaseen or other than these two [Surahs] from the Qur’aan then this is not from the Sunnah as it is not mentioned from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم).
الشيخ: لا لم يرد قراءة شئٍ من القرآن عند قبر الميت وإنماالذي ورد أن النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم كان إذا فرغ من دفن الميت وقف عليه وقال (استغفروا لأخيكم واسألوا له التثبيت فإنه الآن يسأل) وأما قراءة الفاتحة أو قراءة يس أو غيرهما من القرآن فهذا ليس بسنة إذا لم يرد عن النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم.
